From under 100 engagements in 60 days to more than 100K in engagement and website clicks.
For the Next Generation Business Connect initiative, Aurora Collective collaborated with Imani PR and Management, who handled PR and media relations while co-piloting social media with us — building and managing a strong presence with a key focus on Instagram. Our main focus was website development and design, brand strategy, and contract negotiation with the initiative’s partners and sponsors.
The main challenge was positioning the brand in a way that was not only visually attractive but engaging enough to capture and sustain audience interest. The work involved curating consistent, high-quality posts, running targeted ad campaigns, monitoring the best posting times, and driving authentic engagement by responding to comments and direct messages. Through this process, we discovered that true impact lies not in the number of followers but in the quality of engagement and reach — ensuring the brand connected meaningfully with the right audience.

Prime Matrix South Africa

From 0 entrants in 60 days to 113 entrants across three categories — Teen leading with 68 entries.
Our goal was to position the pageant not simply as a beauty contest but as a platform of advocacy, empowerment, and lasting impact. We focused on curating a narrative that helped potential contestants understand the deeper values of the pageant — what it stands for, what it advocates, and whether it offers a transformative journey beyond the crown. This meant designing communication that spoke to both aspiring models and women who may have missed opportunities in the past, ensuring inclusivity across different categories.
A key challenge was skepticism around entry fees, given that Prime Matrix SA was a new pageant model. To overcome this, we made a strategic decision to waive entry fees in August, in celebration of Women’s Month, which not only increased trust but also drove significant engagement. Even after entries closed, interest continued to grow, proving that the positioning resonated strongly with the target audience. Ultimately, our work highlighted the distinction between a business and a brand: a business focuses on transactions, while a brand builds identity, meaning, and emotional connection. By emphasizing advocacy, authenticity, and empowerment, Prime Matrix SA evolved into a brand that contestants and audiences could believe in and rally behind.

On the ground at the summit — giving the audience a voice.
Our role for the brand was to serve as event interviewers and audience liaisons. This included engaging with panelists and keynote speakers to gather insights on the perspectives they would be sharing, key take-aways for attendees, and the anticipated value of their contributions. Additionally, we interacted with guests to capture their reflections on the summit experience, including whether the event met their expectations, the knowledge and perspectives they gained — particularly around technology and AI — and how the discussions contributed to their understanding of the evolving tech landscape. We also gathered feedback on the overall relevance and impact of the summit, including whether attendees felt it was worthwhile and if they would like to see similar knowledge-building events in the future.
